Chi 44 Iron Guard

I mentioned in my Redken Smooth Down Heat Glide review that I had this and wanted to share how I felt about it, so I figured I should now.

The smell of this heat protector smells exactly like every Chi product. It smells like Curve cologne and it's not a bad smell. I actually sort of like it :)

The consistency of this product is a watery liquid, not much to say about that.

The packaging is actually really nice. The bottle is easy to grip and the spray nozzle works really well. I feel like it evenly sprays in your hair, which is very important.

It makes my hair feel very hard and sticky. I tried spraying it lightly and also using a lot, and it never seemed to fix the problem. My hair did feel extra protected, I just didn't like the hard feeling it left on my hair. I heard if you brush out your hair after flat ironing, it makes the hardness better, but it never fully got rid of it.

I payed about $14 dollars for the Chi 44 Iron Guard at Ulta. That is the average price that I've seen for it, and sadly I have yet to find a store that has a great deal on it. Oh well, I wouldn't be running out to get this product anyway.

So all in all, I do not recommend this product. For the price, you can get a much better heat protector. For the quality, you can spend much less. So look around before trying this, you will hopefully not have to spend this much.
