S-Factor Dream Drops

Okay so, last night I was bored and looking on Tigi's website at random things. I noticed on the right side of the site that there was something that said "Free Dream Drops" and so I clicked on it. The link is :

You get the dream drops for free and have to pay $6 dollars for shipping. I did some research and found out that Dream Drops retail for around $30 dollars!! Unbelievable. They also seem to be a wonderful product, so I'm super excited that I found this amazing deal.

I'm not sure why Tigi is giving them away for free though, maybe they aren't selling and they are trying to get people hooked on them. That seems like a good reason haha. I don't care though, because I get it for FREE :)

So I will be getting them in 2-3 weeks it said since they only have ground shipping, oh well. I'll be patient :)

So go get yourself some S-Factor Dream Drops and give them a try, what will it hurt? They're free! :)

Looking for a new regimen :)

I get so bored of my hair routine so easily. It's a curse, I swear lol. I sort of want to get away from Bed Head and get into all Redken products. So far my regimen is :

  1. Shampoo and condition with either Bed Head Moisture Maniac, Dumb Blonde, or Brunette Goddess. (I don't like Control Freak, it dries my hair out way too much)
  2. Spray the Chi keratin mist in my damp hair as a leave-in conditioner.
  3. Use the Redken smooth down heat glide before blow drying and flat ironing.
  4. Use a tiny amount of Chi silk infusion to smooth down fly-aways.
Okay so, I'm debating between the Redken Clear Moisture or the All Soft shampoos and conditioners. I want my hair to be moisturized, but not have a heavy feel. I'm leaning more towards All Soft though :)

I already know that I want to replace the Chi Keratin Mist with the Redken Anti-Snap. I've heard it's really good and I've wanted it for awhile :)

I plan on keeping the Heat glide because I like it. I'm looking for some sort of smoothing anti-frizz serum to use after flat ironing. Maybe the 01 Polishing Milk? I'm also looking for a volumizing mousse and a light hold hair spray. If you can recommend anything let me know :)

Bed Head Moisture Maniac

Okay so today I'm going to my third review on Bed head shampoos and conditioners. As you can see in the picture, I'll be doing the Moisture Maniac line.

This has to be my favorite smell out of the whole Bed Head brand. It's a nice refreshing scent of a piƱa colada, which really wakes me up in the morning. I've honestly never smelled a shampoo and conditioner like this before, which is what attracted me to it in the first place.

The consistency of the shampoo is a lot like the others, it's gooey and thick. It doesn't lather well, but I have recently learned that it doesn't effect your hair at all (thanks Anthony :]). A little goes a long way with this shampoo, I only use about a quarter size and it spreads throughout my whole hair. The conditioner is AMAZING. It is the only moisturizing conditioner I have ever used that spreads well in my hair. A little goes a long way with this as well because it seems to expand when it hits your hair. I know that sounds weird but it actually does. I feel like I put more on than I really did, which also makes it last for awhile! (I actually just checked and found that it might actually have a compressed formula, like most of Rusk's conditioners)

The packaging is a really pretty color of orange. They have pumps which is very handy. That's about all I can say about the packaging lol.

The shampoo makes my hair feel extremely clean. I actually use this shampoo to clarify my hair when it feels greasy. The shampoo itself doesn't seem to give any moisture to your hair, which I believe is to prevent your hair from being greasy after the conditioner. The conditioner is very moisturizing (surprise!). I'm not too sure what else I can say about it. It does what it says it will do, brings moisture back to your hair!

The price, just like the others, is around $20-25 dollars a piece on average. You can get them much cheaper though by buying them in a pack together in hair salons. Oops, I forgot to mention this, but in case you haven't read the other Bed Head reviews, I'm talking about the 25.36 oz. size bottles.

I do recommend this line of products. But you must keep in mind, that the shampoo itself will not moisturize your hair very well and in order to get a positive result, it should be paired with the conditioner! :)

Chi 44 Iron Guard

I mentioned in my Redken Smooth Down Heat Glide review that I had this and wanted to share how I felt about it, so I figured I should now.

The smell of this heat protector smells exactly like every Chi product. It smells like Curve cologne and it's not a bad smell. I actually sort of like it :)

The consistency of this product is a watery liquid, not much to say about that.

The packaging is actually really nice. The bottle is easy to grip and the spray nozzle works really well. I feel like it evenly sprays in your hair, which is very important.

It makes my hair feel very hard and sticky. I tried spraying it lightly and also using a lot, and it never seemed to fix the problem. My hair did feel extra protected, I just didn't like the hard feeling it left on my hair. I heard if you brush out your hair after flat ironing, it makes the hardness better, but it never fully got rid of it.

I payed about $14 dollars for the Chi 44 Iron Guard at Ulta. That is the average price that I've seen for it, and sadly I have yet to find a store that has a great deal on it. Oh well, I wouldn't be running out to get this product anyway.

So all in all, I do not recommend this product. For the price, you can get a much better heat protector. For the quality, you can spend much less. So look around before trying this, you will hopefully not have to spend this much.

Bed Head Brunette Goddess

Hello everyone! Tonight I have a review on the Bed Head Brunette Goddess shampoo and conditioner. Let me start by saying that I do recommend this product, it's very nice. I've decided that I want my reviews to be a little more organized, so I am going to do all of my reviews like this :
  1. Smell
  2. Consistency
  3. Packaging
  4. How it makes my hair feel
  5. Price
  6. Recommend, yes or no.
Okay so the smell of this product is AMAZING. It's an almond-ey scent and it reminds me of a caramel cappuccino. I love it! The only problem with the smell that I've had is that it doesn't mix well with the scents of styling products. If you use a lot of products (hair spray/mousse/gels/etc.) then it will make your hair smell very chemical, which is very unattractive.

The consistency of the shampoo is very gooey. It doesn't lather too well, but that can have its benefits. Too much lathering can make the shampoo too harsh, so this shampoo is very gentle on your hair. The conditioner is very very thick. It doesn't really mix too well into your hair but it is amazing. When I use these, my hair feels so soft and hydrated. They also seem to make my hair feel a little bit stronger, but that might just be my imagination.

The packaging of these aren't different than the other bed head shampoo and conditioners. I have the 25.36 oz. bottles so they aren't exactly like the picture. I haven't had any problems yet. Something odd that I've noticed though, these are the only shampoo and conditioners that I've found that do not have directions. Not that I need them, it just seems odd to me. The other bed head ones do, but this one doesn't.

The shampoo makes my hair feel very clean, but hydrated as well. I can actually skip the conditioner if I need to, which is very nice. The conditioner gives my hair even more moisture and shine. I haven't had any problems with these drying my hair out or making my hair weighed down.

The price of these normally are around $20-$25 a bottle, depending where you buy them. Like I mentioned, I got mine from Ulta for $9.99 a bottle during a sale, but the sale is over sadly. But if you don't want to spend that much on them, you can check some hair salons for a better deal. At the Master Cuts and the Hair Cuttery at my mall, they have them in a package together for a "2 for $22" deal. So look around before buying, you might find a good deal!

I recommend this product a lot. I really enjoy using it, and I think you will too. I'm not sure if blondes or red heads would get the same result, I don't see why not. I think if I could use dumb blonde, they could use brunette goddess. But I am NOT sure!

Pantene Time Renewal Replenishing Masque

So I was grocery shopping with my friend one day, and we got to the hair products aisle. I know this may sound weird or something, but everytime that I get to the hair products aisle at ANY store I go crazy. I actually run up and down the aisle looking at everything that they have. I know, I'm such a loser :P

Okay well a few days before I went grocery shopping and found this, I ran out of my deep conditioner that I had, so I was excited to try something new. I was debating between this and the Neutrogena triple moisture masque. I chose this one because it was on sale for $4 dollars and was a little larger.

So let's start with the scent. It has a very light floral scent. It's not my favorite, but it's nice. If you're a fan of floral scents, you'll enjoy it.

The consistency of the masque is gooey and thick, like a deep conditioner should be (in my opinion). It spreads pretty nicely through your hair, which is very nice. I have had a huge issue with the container in the shower. There is nothing to grip onto the container with and when your hands a wet, it's impossible to close it.

To solve this problem, I would shampoo my hair, and then get out of the shower and put this stuff in my hair. I'd let it sit for about 30 minutes average, even though the bottle says for 5 minutes. And then I would wash it out in the sink with cold water to seal the cuticle.

Let me say, my hair did not feel deep conditioned. The ends felt a little bit stronger, but nothing special. It isn't a bad product though, just not best if your hair is desperate for moisture.

So all in all, if you're on a budget and you need a deep conditioner, this will do the trick. You really cannot beat $4 dollars, so it's worth a try!

Flat Irons

Okay so this review will be on the flat irons that I have owned. There are 2 drugstore ones, and 1 professional.
Okay so the first one I had was just a plain 3/4" Conair flat iron that SUCKED. It was about $15 dollars at CVS. I had to keep my trash can next to me when I would straighten my hair because it would pull out so much hair and I was tired of vacuuming it. Terrible. It feels very cheaply made, but I guess for $15 dollars it SHOULD be cheaply made. I recommend that you do not get this, ever. Ever. It's such a waste.
This is the Vidal Sassoon nano flat iron, in blue :). I got it from target for $30 dollars. Unlike the last one, this one was actually a pretty good flat iron. It's SUPER cute, straightens hair well, is super light weight, and feels pretty sturdy. I did have a few issues with it though, but nothing major. First of all, the temperature control dial is so confusing. There isn't any numbers on it or anything, you only know if you're making it hotter or colder. It goes up to 400 degrees, just in case you were wondering. It heats up in like 30 seconds, which is really good. So this is overall a really nice flat iron. The reason I don't use it anymore though is because it doesn't last. I had it for about five months, and the plates chipped and started to show signs off damage, which made me uneasy about using it. It comes with a 2 year warranty, but it seemed like a hassle to have to ship it to them, pay for them shipping it back, and being without a flat iron for 2 weeks. So I moved on.
Yes, I use a Chi. I am aware that EVERYONE uses them, but there is a reason that everyone uses them. They are the best for your money. I've had it for 3 years now, and it's still working as well as it did when I got it. I payed about $80 dollars for mine, which isn't bad but it isn't amazing. I've seen them much cheaper but also much more expensive. This is my favorite hair tool I have ever owned, and I'll stick with it until it breaks. It doesn't have a temperature control and it's set at 370 degrees. Which some people may not need, but some people may need more also. My hair is pretty average, so it's a nice temperature for me. I think that it's very boring looking though. When this one breaks I am probably going for either the Chi nano blue one, or an Ultra Chi from Ulta. They both are so cute looking, and I know they'll work well and last long.

Redken Smooth Down Heat Glide

Hmm. I just recently got this a week ago or so after returning the Chi 44 Iron Guard (I have A LOT to say about that stuff), and this is my new favorite product ever. This is actually all I use in my hair now. It does the job of all my Chi styling products in one! Loveit.

Okay so before I got this I used to use the Chi Keratin Mist as a leave-in, let my hair air dry, and then use the silk infusion and the iron guard. But this stuff makes my hair feel stronger (like the keratin mist), smoother (like silk infusion), and protects against heat (iron guard). Omg. Why hasn't anyone introduced me to this before?! And my one friend tried to convince me to get some other heat protector instead of this, glad I don't take her advice!

I payed $16 dollars for this and it's 5 ounces, which is a much better deal than the Chi silk infusion. So all in all it was a good deal. Of course there are less expensive products out there, but you only use a tiny amount in your hair, so it'll last forever. I use 2 pumps in my hair if I'm air drying, then I flat iron. If I blow dry, I use 2 pumps, blow dry, and then 1 more pump and then flat iron. So it's a pretty easy process :)

It doesn't really have a smell to it, it just smells like "fresh". This is actually very good for me, because I enjoy my bed head shampoos and conditioners and don't want anything I use in my hair to cover up those scents.

I think the packaging of most redken products are really cute. Don't ask me why lol. I just like the colors and the shapes. The only complaint I have about this product is the cap. This might just be a defect with mine, but whenever I try to close the cap, it just pops back up. Not a problem, just a nuisance if I'm ever traveling with this.

So I know that I recommended the Chi silk infusion, but honestly I recommend this MORE than the silk infusion. I don't even use that stuff anymore, because I don't need it! :)

Oh! For anyone who doesn't like Salon products or their price, I am going to be doing a review on a Pantene deep conditioner that my friend recommended to me. So keep an eye out for that review, until next time!

Bed Head Dumb Blonde

Okay, so I know what you are thinking. I am aware that I am not blonde, have never been blonde, or have any interest in becoming blonde. But the name of these may fool you. It states on the back of the bottle : "Not just for Dumb Blondes - it's for Racy Redheads and Buxom Brunettes too." So that is why I, a Buxom Brunette, purchased this shampoo and conditioner! :)

If you have ever heard of Bed Head, you have probably also heard about the price. These large bottles run for about $20-$25 dollars a piece. However, I did not pay that much for these, I got each bottle for $9.99 at Ulta during a Bed Head sale :). Don't worry though, if you missed the sale and would like to still get these cheaper, I have noticed that many hair salons in the mall have them in a pack together for $22! So look around, and you will find something! (I do not recommend buying them online, you never know where they have been.)

So now, to review these. The smell of these products (one of the most important things to me), smells a lot like strawberries to me. It's so refreshing :). I think that they are SO cute looking. They are the same colors as the bottles, like most bed head products. The shampoo is very rich and leaves my hair feeling incredible after I wash it out. (Sometimes I can skip the reconstructor [the conditioner]).

The Dumb Blonde reconstructor is very powerful, which is probably why it isn't called a conditioner. Because it's so powerful, I only use it every other day because I don't want to weigh my hair down too much. It doesn't spread very easily in your hair so you will probably need a few pumps if you have longer hair. After rinsing it out though, you will feel a huge difference in the condition of your hair.

So all in all, I really recommend this little duo. But like I said, look around for a good deal, buying them full price is a complete rip-off. Check around the hair salons at your nearest mall, they usually have pretty good deals!

Oh! And just to warn you, I also purchased the Bed Head Brunette Goddess, Moisture Maniac, and Control Freak shampoos and conditioners from Ulta during the sale, so expect reviews from them as well! :)

CHI silk infusion, my first love <3

Okay so, I have a lot to say about this little bottle of heaven. First of all, the smell. I personally love it, but most woman don't. It smells a lot like the Curve for men cologne. It's a nice, fresh, masculine scent. I know what you are thinking, "Why would a girl want her hair to smell like a man?!". I was worried about this too, but the smell doesn't actually linger on my hair at all. After I use this, I can still smell my shampoo and conditioner. Weird, I know.

Like most CHI products, the price is very steep. I have the 6 ounce bottle and it cost me about $25 dollars at Target. But I personally feel that the price is justified for this product. Why? Because I bought it about 8 months ago, have used it every day, and still have 3/4 of the bottle left! If you've heard about this product I'm sure that you have heard that you only use a tiny amount, which is how this product lasts so long! I use about a dime sized amount and sometimes that even seems to be too much. So yes, the price may be steep, but you won't need to repurchase it for over a year, so consider that before turning it down.

I have never had a product give the same feeling to my hair as the silk infusion. Yes, it does compare to BioSilk, but unlike BioSilk, CHI silk infusion has long term effects as well. Since I've started using this product, my hair feels naturally softer and more hydrated. Also, I have had much less breakage, which we all know is a major plus :).

So all in all, I love CHI silk infusion. I recommend it to anyone that feels that their hair needs some TLC. You will not be disappointed!

Stay beautiful! <3

First post ever :)

Hello dears! This is my very first blog ever, so I'm a little nervous! I appreciate any constructive criticism that you have to offer me, so don't be afraid to let me know.

On this blog I will be reviewing a lot of hair products that I have found over the years and have enjoyed enough to repurchase. Most of these products will be Bed Head, CHI, and Redken, those have been the best that I've tried :). But don't worry if you don't like any of those, I've liked many other brands as well.

If you want help deciding what products will be best for your hair type or you want me to test out a product for you, don't be afraid to ask and I will do the best that I can for you!

I will probably post a new review everyday, or maybe more than once a day. So continue to check back frequently! :)

Stay beautiful! <3
